“A few years ago, I was diagnosed with irregular heartbeat and put on medication. Within a short time I began to experience slight dizziness and “phantom” muscle ache in my legs coupled with a loss of feeling in my feet as well as an absence of reflexes.
My doctor recommended an examination by a neurologist, which only produced satisfactory results. There was no recommendation of any further therapy or treatment.
Fortunately I consulted Dr. Darling, who said that distended veins putting pressure on the nerve cords inside my legs were probably leading to the loss of feeling. He operated extensively on both legs and after I got out of surgery, I could hardly conceal my joy when I discovered that I could feel my toes again. Furthermore, when I stood up, I felt much steadier than before the operation.
I am indebted to Dr. Darling and his crew for giving my legs a new life. My job now is to work hard on my fitness to regain muscle mass. I have received a very warm welcome from my colleagues and friends at the golf club as I have begun to play regularly again.”
